One of the main areas that user research highlighted was to make sure the search was improved, there were clearer calls to action and the imagery was more relevant to booking a holiday.
I designed thel website with a responsive approach, ensuring an optimized experience for both desktop and mobile users. On the desktop, I focused on creating a visually rich layout with large images, intuitive navigation, and interactive features like maps and recommendations. For mobile, I simplified the design for quick access to key functions, such as search and booking, with touch-friendly controls and fast load times. The overall design was consistent across platforms, prioritizing ease of use, performance, and a seamless transition between devices.
I created a design system for the website by establishing a cohesive set of guidelines for typography, color schemes, spacing, and components to ensure consistency across all pages which adhered to the brand guideline. I defined reusable UI elements such as buttons, forms, and navigation bars, along with standardized layouts and grid structures. By organizing these elements in a central repository, I made it easier for the team to maintain a unified visual identity and streamline future updates.
